Can't wait to bring this to you. I found an easy way for you and I to enjoy a longer, healthier life. We make it our mission to take 7,000 steps a day. It doesn't have to be 10,000, it's 7,000 now.
And this is the recommendation of a brand new study from the University of Massachusetts. Kinesiologist Dr. Amanda Palouche and her team recruited over 2,000 adults in their 30s and 40s and had them wear activity trackers for a year.
They also conducted regular follow-up surveys for a decade. The result, bottom lining it for you, study participants who walked an average of 7,000 steps a day, it's about 3 miles, they were 66% less likely to die during the study.
66%! That's compared to those who led a mostly sedentary lifestyle. Even taking just 4,000 steps a day decreased mortality rates by 30%. Who knew that just walking more is now the fountain of youth?
